What We Did:
In this activity, we learned about painting and different types of paintings to tie it to an artist from Australia. Then we got to pick out an animal from a lizard and a kangaroo. Once we had our animal we cut a paper bag as our background then planned our painting. After getting paint we used a Q-tip to apply the paint on the paper bag.
Extension Activity:
This could be tied into Social Studies and one could have students learn about the different habitats in Australia. Once they have done a little digging on Australia they could paint a background with some ideas they had found with the Q-tip.
